Karima Dharssi, LEED AP, P.Eng.

Senior Electrical Engineer

Karima began her career in engineering while she was still a co-op student attending the University of Waterloo. After graduating in 2007, she dabbled for a few years at various consulting engineering firms, all the while learning about different project types, new methods of design, and alternative company structures.

In 2017, Karima joined Lonergan Engineering and has never looked back.

While her project portfolio has become quite diverse throughout her tenure in the industry, her area of expertise lies in healthcare; she has had a hand in the design of almost every new hospital in Ontario in the last 10 years.

Karima has an innate ability to understand the bigger picture of engineering projects and seeks co-operation, rather than conflict, with all members of a project team in order to achieve the project's common goal. She has long since given up the notion that engineering work is to be done with pride; rather she believes that true engineering is done with humility.

Karima possesses a Professional Engineering license in the province of Ontario, a Bachelor's degree of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
